Thalapathy Vijay‘s ‘Jana Nayagan’ witnessed an expected slowdown at the box office on its first Wednesday. Tamil version remains the biggest contributor
The Tamil version continued to dominate the film’s business on Day 7. Out of the total Rs 6.10 crore India net collection, the Tamil version contributed Rs 4.60 crore. The Hindi version earned Rs 1 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 50 lakhs. The film was screened in 10,359 shows across India on Wednesday.
Occupancy stays steady across major languages
The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 20.75% on Day 7. Evening shows attracted the highest footfall with an occupancy of 24.38%.The Hindi version registered an overall occupancy of 9.94%, with the best response coming during the night shows, which recorded 12.67% occupancy.Meanwhile, the Telugu version maintained an overall occupancy of 13.54%. Afternoon shows performed the best, recording 14.60% occupancy.
Tamil Nadu leads state-wise collections
Tamil Nadu once again emerged as the film’s biggest market on Wednesday, contributing Rs 4.25 crore in gross collections. Karnataka followed with Rs 76 lakhs, while Kerala added Rs 55 lakhs.The film collected Rs 50 lakhs from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while the rest of India contributed Rs 1 crore to the day’s total.
