Akhil Akkineni’s latest release ‘Lenin’ remains a special film as it is receiving positive response from the audience after his disappointing outing in theatres with the 2023 film ‘Agent’. Recently his father and Tollywood veteran Nagarjuna Akkineni recently talked about a difficult phase in his son’s life.
Nagarjuna shares an emotional family story
As per a report by Cinema Express, during the film’s success meet, Nagarjuna revealed that a serious accident about a year and a half ago changed Akhil’s life and helped him become a calmer and more mature person. He said he usually does not speak about personal matters, but he felt it was the right time to share this story.
A serious accident changed Akhil’s life
Nagarjuna said, “About one and a half years ago, Akhil met with a freak accident. A glass piece slashed the nerve in his hand, and he lost sensation in it. It was a terrible phase for all of us at home. Amala and I couldn’t even tell anyone what had happened. It took nearly six months of physiotherapy and treatment for him to recover.” He said the difficult experience brought a big change in Akhil. “After that incident, something changed in him. He became calmer and started thinking differently. He also found a life partner, and that brought more stability into his life. I generally don’t speak about personal matters, but I felt this was the right time to share it with all of you.”
Nagarjuna believed Akhil’s good time was coming
Nagarjuna said he encouraged Akhil before he signed ‘Lenin’. He recalled, “I told him that his good time was about to begin. I asked him to do this film with complete determination. Reaching the goal doesn’t require only energy; it also needs the right thought process. Life is like a game, and finally he achieved what he was striving for. I am extremely happy for him.” He added, “I wish he continues this mindset and doesn’t take impulsive decisions anymore. He has a fantastic future ahead of him.” Nagarjuna also said Akhil had always worked hard for every film and never lacked commitment.
About ‘Lenin’
Speaking of ‘Lein’, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the film is a village based romance action drama which features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. It also includes Sivaji, Sunil, Brahmaji and Easwari Rao in important roles.According to live updates from trade analyst Sacnilk, the film is running across 1,205 shows and has collected a net of Rs 3.66 crore. It is inches away from reaching Rs 20 crore in three in India.
