According to TMZ, following a stroke, the actress was put on life support. A family member confirmed the news, revealing that doctors had suggested that her chances of coming out of the coma were extremely low. Even if she recovered, she would suffer a lot, after which her family members decided to remove her from life support.“Mary lived a good life and was extremely proud of appearing in the 2021 Marvel blockbuster. Her family encouraged her to audition for the role, which ultimately became one of her proudest accomplishments,” the report stated.Rivera had a small role in ‘No Way Home,’ yet she left an impression. She had scenes with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire when they entered her home through portals Ned opened. When Garfield tried to prove he was Spider-Man, Rivera, as Ned’s grandmother, spoke in Tagalog and asked him to clean the cobwebs on the roof. Though she was shocked to see an intruder in her room, she didn’t miss the chance to make the most of the situation. In another scene, she exchanged glances with Tobey Maguire, a moment that has stayed with the fans.Her obituary page was also shared online, with tributes posted for the 82-year-old star. One tribute read, “Tita Mary, as my mentor and colleague, you will be missed tremendously.
